Course Description

This 15-hour course provides an in-depth introduction to Ayurvedic Medicine, one of the world’s oldest holistic healthcare systems. Participants will learn Ayurveda’s historical and philosophical foundations, diagnostic frameworks, and treatment modalities, while also reviewing modern clinical research supporting its relevance in integrative medicine today. The course emphasizes practical applications, including diet, lifestyle, and case study integration, giving practitioners tools to incorporate Ayurvedic principles into patient care.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Describe the historical development and modern relevance of Ayurveda in global healthcare.
2. Explain the Ayurvedic definition of health, constitution (prakruti), and imbalance (vikruti).
3. Differentiate the characteristics of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas and recognize their clinical manifestations.
4. Identify etiological factors and stages of pathogenesis according to Ayurveda.
5. Apply Ayurvedic diagnostic methods including observation, inquiry, and pulse assessment in clinical practice.
6. Evaluate treatment modalities such as diet, lifestyle, yoga, meditation, Panchakarma, and herbal medicine.
7. Critically assess clinical research studies validating Ayurvedic interventions in chronic disease and wellness care.
